Today I'm going to talk about the changes to my study program, I'm at my third year of the career of chemistry and pharmacy and along these years I realized the bad structuring of certain courses and the obstacles that the university put us, like the prerequisites, I think that these were made just to delay us in our curricular advance, these are some examples of things that doesn't make sense to me, why subjects like electromagnetism opens physiology?, why organic chemistry opens botany?, why physicochemistry opens biochemistry? if it were in my hands, I would do the prerequisites to ensure that there is a certain level of knowledge, and I would not implement them as a measure to avoid changing schedules because two courses concur in the same schedule (as occurs with organic 1 and physical chemistry ) In spite of these obstacles, if one asks for the courses without having the prerequisite approved, the university gives them to you, but what happens to those who are in their first semester and don't have this information? ...
In the other hand we have the bad sinchronization of the subjects, I would synchronise the subject’s contents, for example in “General Chemistry I” we learnt about the atomic structure, Also we saw the in “Mechanic” (aka Physics I) but not in the same time. It would be better if we learnt at the same time in both subjects.
To end, another thing that I would change related with the faculty facilities is to have a canteen, there is not enough space at the lunch time, and also the faculty is really small, in the summer there is few point with shadow to spend the time, and in winter there is not enough roofed places in case of rain. We need a canteen a big one.
