2016 vacations

Hi folks, today I am going to talk about my last holidays, it was in January. I went to Futrono with my family, Futrono is a village near to Valdivia at the XIV region. As you can imagine the travel from Santiago to Valdivia would be too long, so my family and I decided to stop in Chillan, at the VIII region, we stayed there for a week in our house, we visited our relatives and went to the cobquecura beach, there the waves are very strong and that makes it perfect to the surfers.

                                                              (Cobquecura beach)

The week passed and we continued to our last stop, Futrono, there is a lake called Ranco, and that lake is divided in "beachs" (Areas used to swimm). I really love swimming so I passed many hours in the water, I went to many beaches: huequecura beach, San pedro beach, Bahia Coique beach, Caunahue river. but in my opinion, the best "beach" was San pedro, the water was so cristalline, warm, and shallow, The sunsets were one of the most amazing things

                                                           (Huequecura beach, Llifén)

                                                                (San Pedro beach)

                                                                (Caunahue river)

I'm thinking about the next holidays, for years I had gone to the south, but nowadays I would prefer to go to north, maybe San pedro de atacama, friends of mine said me that is a beautiful place too.
so what about you? wich one is your favorite place to travel?
thanks for reading, that's all friends.

"A Subject I've enjoyed studying this semester"

Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk about my favorite subjet in the first semester of my career: Chemistry and Pharmaceutics.

This topic is not easy for me, jajaja because most of the subject are complicated, anyway... When I started the university I was so exited for the classes, and my new professors . My courses until now are six, chemistry, physics, calculus, this english class, "the pharmaceutical chemist and his action" and loboratory's techniques all of them was "given" in my scheadule and  the last one was my favorite at the start. but now I think different, because is too tedious, of course it's interesting see the copper sulfate crystals or the tritation process. Currently I rather prefer "the pharmaceutical chemis and his action" because is more dinamic than the other subjects, is like an "approach" with the career. There we learn about pharmaceutical terminology, we visited different areas like industrial area, and the hospital and clinic area. a few weeks ago, some professional gave us a talk about their jobs, in wich area they work, how much they earn as salary, and things related with the profession. As I said in another post, every day I'm loving my career a little bit more... and more ajaja

that's all folks, I'll see you in a next post, thanks for reeding

I admire...

Well friend, today I'm going to talk about a person that I admire, and is related with my career too (Chemistry and pharmaceutics) . She is Marie Curie, maybe you have heard about she and her invents.

Maria Sklodowska  was born on November 7, 1867, in Warsaw, Poland. Her parents were both teachers, and she was the youngest of five children.

She was the best student at school, then she dicided to continue her studies but Curie could not attend the men-only University of Warsaw. She instead continued her education in Warsaw's "floating university,". In 1891 Marie Curie went to Paris to finish her studies and start her brigthest work...

Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only woman to win the award in two different fields (physics and chemistry). The first time was in 1903, She won the prestigious honor along with her husband and Henri Becquerel, for their work on radioactivity, and the second time was in 1911 at the field of chemistry, the prize was given because her discovery of radium and polonio.

I like Marie because she was one of the first women in a "man's field" and of course it was not easy for her. She had to prove that she had the same abilities of a man.
